Little Things

Great things with little starts,

Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Great ideas of little initiating steps,

Little drops make an ocean.

Great anthills of tiny sand grains,

Built by industrious ‘tiny little’ ants.

Great mansions of little bricks,

Underrating is an undoing.

Tiny mustard seeds;

Magnificent trees with time,

What a great example of faith!

Little things; important things.

Little semen turned expected foetus;

A bright destiny in the making,

A future to be delivered,

The glorious child we await,

The hope of numerous nations.

Necessary things are sometimes little.

A little leaven leavens the whole lump

How can I forget the story of Achan?

Nor not regard the consequences of King David’s adultery

So deadly are seemingly little sins!

Unending are their stings

Little things matter.

From generation to generation,

As children become grandparents,

Family bonds lose their essence.

The abnormal take dominance

Overlooked bad habits become unfriendly

Gradually, our moral systems are choked up

What a degenerated society!

Little things indeed count.
